DPFS regeneration

Hi all
I've neither noticed or been informed by anything either mechanical or digital that a regeneration has occurred.  On previous deisels I've had the warning on the dash and reduced power etc associated with a regeneration.
Is this normal can anyone cast some light on this. I intend to ask the MD to have a look on the diagnostics to accertain just when it last happened.

Regards

Steve

Without diagnostics the only obvious way to know is that the engine bay fans will keep running at high power when you switch off the engine.  This is to stop the (plastic) front of the car catching fire.

I have had a few DPF equipped cars, none with warning lights or power changes, but all have this fan trick.  The DPF gets seriously hot during a regen!

Might be worth getting a glow plug check done.  If they have failed then the regen won't happen according to several reports on the Forum.

I had glow plugs changed last year. But thanks for that.

Did they do the controller as well?  A few on here have reported their controllers failing shortly after the plugs were done.
