BMW X5 E70 2007 Suspension Fault EHC Drain

Post by richmprice » Thu Nov 17, 2016 9:11 am

Hi

I've been having a problem with my x5 for a few months now. If i go round a sharp corner or brake heavily at fault appears on the dash SUSPENSION FAILURE. So ive had it scanned and the fault is EHC drain valve.

My local garage have told me it was the air pump so i have had that fitted, now they telling me the level sensors on the back are causing it.

Has anyone had this issue before that could help me. Every time i turn the car off the fault code clears. I will get the exact code later.

Electronic height control valve.( EHV )There is a valve block that inflates and deflates the airbags from information received from the height level sensors, if it can't see that the levels have been altered as instructed, it may throw a fault.
