Hi, I went today to view a 2006 X5. Clean as a whistle. When I got into the car and looked at the dash there was a red/orange 4x4 light lit on the dash. When I started the car it went away. Is that normal ????

Most likely the battery had been disconnected and recharged.  The light goes out either if you go full lock one way or the other.  Normal.
:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
