Fuel flap lock

Anybody know if this can be serviced at all?
The lock for the fuel flap when locking the car is quite noisy.
It seems it is struggling to lock and makes quite a racket.
Can this be removed and freed off before it is broken completely or is it best just to replace it?
Any idea what this part is called and what sort of cost to replace.
Thanks

Copy of the relevant parts.

For info there is a copy of the BMW parts database at Realoem.  Use the last 7 characters of your VIN under the 'Serial Number' box.

Not had trouble with mine, but try a bit of silicone spray in it to see if that helps.  Access to it is probably behind the right hand boot side trim panel.

No idea on price but if you send member Cotswoldbmwmini a 'PM' they will give you a price.  They are a BMW Dealership and give a Forum Discount.

And :hi:

Thanks, will have a go at freeing it off a bit.
It sounds like it is sticking, tried locking and unlocking with the flap open and the locking pin doesnt come out smoothly, but it seems different every time.
$59 probably works out about £70 :(
