Looking for a dog guard. 2006 e53.  Anyone recommend the trav/all range. That's all that seems to be available.

I bought the Travall dog guard and divider for my E70 X5 and it is excellent. Very well made, fits the boot really well, strong and rattle free ;)

I went for the guard with the divider (think it is the safety pack) and with the size of the boot there is ample room in half of it for my Boxer dog with space to put other things in the other side of the boot.

I have the OE guard that's been with the car since new. I don't really use it so could be tempted to part with it? Happy to discuss via pm. 2002 E53 3.0d Sport

Cheers

Jusf be mindful some confuse cargo nets with dog guards.

Dont expect a cargo net to keep a big dog safe & in rear in a big impact .

I have a dedicated metal crate custom made to the E53 which I use.....sourced on here from another member. Not sure of make but a self contained item so if say rear window breaks dog shoukd remain in car.

If funds could be justified TransK9 would be my choice. Not cheap when nicely specced but sturdiest out there IMO & Iirc they are crash tested.

I would also consider a decent ramp too - depending on size of dog.
