I needed to get two new tyres as the two front one's wearing badly on the edges (tracking was out)
Having looked around the Internet and seen some shocking prices for tyres :o the best deal I could get for budget tyres was at Hounslow Tyres
I bought two Nexen 225 /50/R19 for £100 each including fitting and balanced, then I was given the price for doing the tracking on my x5 £50
this was an impressive operation to watch, as the car was put on a ramp and a special type of plates connected to each wheel, then a laser system took measurements, I was surprised to find that it wasn't only the Front the back was also out, anyway after lots of adjustment everything was reading correctly
:D I can definitely recommend Hounslow Tyres for those people looking to save money and want a good job done, and if you're going to see Jason for a re map their round the corner.

Good call getting a 4 wheel alignment done, I had mine done last week as since I got it I have renewed loads of control arms, balljoints, subframe bushes etc. this work had thrown the tracking out as the steering wheel was way off center and a previous alignment was compensating for worn rear suspension parts, its a different car to drive now . people completely overlook alignment on these cars but its so critical it even effects fuel consumption.

I actually did a 220 miles round trip to pro-grip in Falkirk for mine the guy comes highly recommended and spent 2 hours getting mine just right, also had to heat the track rods to free them for adjustment, cost £69. tyres are too expensive to get a dodgy alignment done.

make sure that when you get the tracking checked or adjusted they put the weights in the car with the correct amouts
without the the car being weighted down the reading will be wrong

also the correct make, model and rim size are entered
