Hi All
New to the forum. Have just purchased my first e53 x5. It has come with an aftermarket single din CD player as I'm guessing the original one broke. I'm hoping to fit something like the bellow. Just wondering if there is a write up anywhere on how this is done and wiring diagrams? Also, can anyone recommend a unit to buy? I have heard these Chinese ones arnt the best and don't have a memory.
In the boot, I only have the 6 cd changer so I'm guessing this x5 didn't come with satnav so I couldn't buy a second hand oem satnav as I won't have the correct wiring and controller pc in the boot?
Thanks

Re: Fitting an aftermarket headunit
You could get a double din unit? Move the MID to the glove box to retain the obc features.
The sound quality out of a branded unit will be much better than any Chinese unit you buy.
