The towbar is factory fit from new. It is the optional extra package with increased towing capacity and an additional oil cooler. The tow ball looked like new so not sure if it was used before? Our son races so we use it to tow to the car/trailer to each meeting. A massive improvement on our old Freelander.
I am looking at remapping it, refurbing the wheels and changing to non run flats for now.
Look at Realoem (copy of BMW Parts database) for all the bits you need for the extra cooling capability.
Use the last 7 characters of your VIN in 'Serial Number' to pull up your exact model.
There is no official retrofit kit meaning you will have to find all the parts. Cooling and Bodywork sections will cover most of it as you need extra plumbing, radiator and front left lower grill insert for the bumper. Dealers won't fit it as it has no 'official' kit - which will give you warranty issues too if under AUC.

The wheels are a bit chipped and have been painted before at some point. Just looking to get them powder coated in the oem silver. The BMW tows a million times better than the freelander. I had a tuning box on that which did help but not a patch on this
It has the complete tow package. 3.5t towing capability.
