I have been eyeing an X5 for a little while now. I needed a vehicle that could tow and I've had a handful of BMWs in the past, so I figured an X5 was the way to go. Test drove a handful of 3.0 Diesels and thats pretty much where I was thinking of putting my money, but I couldnt go through the process without trying a V8. Found a nice one that seemed well cared for and I headed out to test drive it. I paid a deposit there and then! Who needs fuel economy anyway? And i'll only be using it for a few thousand miles a year anyway (maybe).
E53, pre-facelift X5 4.4 - Very happy. 110k on the clock, but its tight and has been well cared for. That being said, i'll be looking at getting the gearbox fluid changed soon.
