Hello everyone,
I'm new to all of this so bare with me. I currently have a 2014 3 Series M Sport Touring awaiting the delivery of Mineral White X5 40d M Sport! Cannot wait for the new addition! Currently at stage 9000 departed plant with a delivery date of week commencing 12th Sept! If there is anyone with a 40d M Sport that could give any reviews or the X5 in general then please do. Looking forward to being part of the forums and hearing from you.

Thank you Colin! I thought the wait for the 335d touring was bad! This one has been even more of a wait. Will post pics upon arrival. Hopefully within next 2 week, the waiting is killing me!

Hello and
The diesel E53 used to be on a 10-14
month wait for UK RHD spec! You could get a Bentley made faster!

Thank you

oh wow now that is a long time! I get impatient over a 12 week wait let alone a 14 month wait! I see you have an X6. We were torn between the X5 and X6 but ended up with the X5 for space and 3rd row seating. The X6 was a lot cheaper to insure for us but insurance wanted a tracker fitted so by the time we worked out cost it all equaled out and the X5 won ::)

Hi and welcome.
I know there are a few with the newer F15 (such a cool model no as I think it was a jet as well) shape X5 but so far no one has done a full review although there several posts on the cars in that section so may be worth a quick search but here is one post

And

Hello and welcome.
I'm new here too. I've had a 65 plate F15 30d M Sport in mineral white for about a month now - I know it isn't exactly the same as yours but if you had any specific questions I can try and help out.
I read reviews but to be fair only take things with a pinch of salt as everyone has their own opinions. Important things for me were space for 3 child seats, safety and an element of fun to drive.

Hi
Just going through a similar process, my car was built first week of August (so new iDrive and 2017 spec etc.) and it's now at the dealers.
I'm amazed from built to physically seeing the car took about 4 weeks and in fact mine was at stage 9000 for about 10 days, then at port of departure and then about two days later at the dealer so somewhere along the line the codes were delayed!
I get mine on the 17th so not long now

Hey
Think it was your M50d that you sent pics of on the other post I put up about the alloys? Very nice! Feels like ours has been stuck at 9000 forever. I check the status everyday ::) to then be told 9000 departed plant. Hopefully not long to go, Patience is not my strong point especially when waiting for cars!
Have been given the 12th of September now which has changed as was originally week commencing 5th Sept! >:(

Hello

and welcome to you too!
Good colour choice

How are you finding the car?
That's the same with me everyone has their own opinions and look for different things. Currently have f31 335d and realising now that with 2 kids and a dog we have no room for anything or anyone else, and the middle seat you cant use as the car seats take up most room. We did look at the X3 but the X5 was a lot more practical in the way of having 7 seats (if needed) and being that bit bigger to accommodate half the house that we seem to take everywhere with us lol. Have you got any pics of yours?
