i would like to run some tests on the e70's range of diesels to see what extra mpg we can get from these engines as there has been a lot of talk that saying other tuners can get more power but no more MPG so im looking for some cars that my be near us to see what we can do,

i have be asked by some as there standard MPG is not that good and would like to make it better

we will need the the owner to take a log of how many mpg they are getting a to a full tank and how many litres they fill with,
then we will need car for about 3 hours to start with, they will then need to log how many miles they get after adjustments we make to a full tank and if so more adjustments way be needed

his wifes car is a e46 330ci convertable

what engine, size, year have you got jon and what MPG you getting?

as most of you know im a BMW specalist as well as a tuners of ecu's,power is no problems with these ecu's its the cost the of tools to to communicate to them and time in development involed

what im looking for is people who want from there cars
1,more power
2,more mpg
3, both

they must know what there cars dose to a full tank

what im looking to give this

1,i know what power we can get with no more mpg :)
2,i want to see if we can get 5 or more mpg if poss
3,i would be very happy if i can get both :)

Hi Jason, we spoke a few weeks ago (not sure if you remember) the nearest guy you had in my neck of the woods was in Hull.
I'm only getting 17-19 round town from my 3.0d and about 25 on the m/way.
It's going back in tomorrow to the dealers as i've asked them to check it out.
As I said i'd be up for getting more mpg from the car, i'm assuming you'd need the car with you at your place ?

I may be up for it. I'e he70 3.0sd, no way am getting quoted figures. I'm in the midlands and not too far from u. so far I've got about 29mpg. I'm not that bothered about power increase but mpg would be great. Only worry is will warranty be affected.

I've got more power and about average MPG, I'd like both but I'm no where near you for the tests :( I'll be interested in seeing what you find.
