Hi

If on a 5 seater it may be worth checking in the space under the boot floor in the as although carpeted if anything moving about it could rattle, I know my steering wheel disclock can make a thud as it moves about

Also worth checking the towing eye which is located in the tray under the boot floor as that can be loose.

One source of rattles is something loose in the heating duct under the driver's seat.  I've had small marbles dropped by child onto the floor which then got into the duct. They rolled and rattled  as the car cornered.  If you push the driver's seat fully forward then the plastic funnel of the heater outlet can be pulled out - and if you have a small hand probe around to see if anything is there.  Got them all out, eventually!
