PDC sensor

Post by phill » Fri Feb 11, 2011 5:13 pm

For info really the rear middle sensors are £85.01 each.

I had a problem with one of the sensors, the green light was flashing on the button marked PDC with a continuous sound from the rear sound box for about 5 seconds.
Checked the rear sensors and all of them made a clicking noise, but one of them was a little intermittent, changed that one and everything is now okay.

Lol! No Phill you're not causing any trouble.

x555 has been fighting with his sensors for ages, hence the post. Sorry for the confusion!

Thats exactly what mine is doing with the exception that its the front noise.
Havnt checked which one is the offending sensor yet, so does the flashing light mean anything different? others havnt mentioned it??

PDC sensor

It is just telling you that one or more sensors are faulty, as I mentioned in the first post they may all make a clicking sound, but one, the clicks will not be the same time between clicks (if that last sentence makes sense)

Checked this morning before i went to work,

front middle right not clicking
AND
rear middle left not clicking.

When I bought the car just over a year ago it had the front middle left one replaced, under warranty....which expired on 01 Jan :(

So, they are £85 each??

PDC sensor

Don't know if they are all the same price as some are straight and some are 90 degrees for the connector, mine that I bought was one of the straight ones

I have some spare ones (straight) will chuck them in the boot and bring to the meet at Bristol, if anyone needs to "prove" their sensors.

If that's the case, you must have a wet sensor. Kee an eye on them and wait for a few dry warm(ish) days. Reckon you'll no probs during those days.

Then get them sealed to stop this happening again.

If its a wet sensor, that would suggest that they arent sealed???
or is it as they get older they get less waterproof?

Get a hair dryer on it to see if you can dry them out.

Sanj can loan you one if you don't have one :poke:
