Overtaking nightmare

Post by X3nut » Tue Aug 09, 2016 8:47 pm

So i went to overtake on a B road at the weekend and the kickdown was fine and it shot forward as if to take off then suddenly held back! It got to about 3k revs and stopped accelerating. I had to lift off and tuck back in, it was a bit unnerving i must admit!! I have the 3.0d M Sport...any ideas anyone?

You need to scan it really or you could spend unnecessarily.

It could be MAP sensor, MAF, Turbo, Boost Pipe etc

Yeah, going to take it some time this week to be scanned to see if anything shows up but thought i would get some advice from anyone on here who may have had this problem before.

Buy a C310/C110 scanner from eBay/amazon for around £35 or iCarly.
Useful to keep in your boot and one use pays for itself.

How much fuel was in it? Had you just put fuel in?
Could be as simple as dirty fuel but as said a scan will hopefully put you in the right direction.
