Hi Everyone.

Post by parasuper » Thu Feb 10, 2011 10:45 pm

Been a member for a while now, thought it was time to say hello. Had my X5 for a year now, best car i've ever had. It's a 55 reg 4.8Is sport exclusive. Carbon black, cream leather, pan roof, comm's +++. Had P38 Rangie before this. Do most of my own maintainance. To date I have replaced front disc's & pad's. O/S suspension leg (airbag burst). Trackrod end's. Sway bar link's x4. X2 tyres on front (Bridgestone to match the rear). Then in October the dreaded suspension inactive warning came on, Took it to local Indie, they diagnosed defective control unit. They replaced the unit & tested & set suspension at a cost of £854. Has been good ever since. Finger's crossed. Fantastic through winter snow if driven properly using all the aid's. Looking for a warranty at the moment for electrical & major peace of mind. Will post some pic's when weather get's better and I can clean it properly. Also have a Honda CBR 1100 super blackbird, but that's another story.

Hi parasuper and welcome.

Best colour X in my opinion.

Was that front or rear pillow that burst?

Great choice in bikes too - I've had one of those, why ever did I let it go????

Welcome to the group.

A 4 wheel drive rocket and a two-wheeled semi-guided missile too. Always wanted a Blackbird but never got further than the VFR800 VTEC and that's gone now coz of my spine injury. Can't ride ever again. I do miss the odd blat on a good day.

It was the o/s front that burst. Not a bad job to replace, but expensive to buy. Couldn't find any one else to supply other than the stealer's.
