Allo everyone. I just bought a 2006 x5. Always fancied one and my mates was selling his and it looked lively so I bought it off him. Needs a few bits n bobs but what jam jar doesn't.  Also as by my user name I have a e46 m3 which is my special car. Thought I'd keep it better condition after my re spray so I'm lucky the truck came up for sale.
Hope to get involved on the forum and expect lots of questions lol
Il get some pics up soon hopefully

Hi and welcome to the forum.

As Greydog says it will drive differently to an M3 but it's probably the best on reader about, I'm not sure whether it's a diesel or a V8 you have but there is a lot of help and advice available one here.

I wondered if I'd get picked up on the truck thing. It's very different to my m but a great handling big beast. I have the diesel 3l. Looking at getting a remap , angel eyes , good clean , pipes through the bumper , Bluetooth head unit and other things prob as I notice them
Some cleaning progress so far

Hi

If you do a search on cleaning the side steps I think it was wonder wheels was used by some p, you can just take the small rubber grommets out firs,  and then treat them I believe is brings them up like new, although your second pic looks like you might have used tap hat already.

For a remap have a look at the post by Jason at BW Chiptune and he does good remapping for the diesels and discounts for member of the forum

Nice one il look into him
For the runnin boards I took the bungs out and used wd40 with wire wool. Followed by metal polish by meguiars and sealed with collonite wax
