Just tried an F Pace 3.0 Diesel Verrrrrrry Interesting.
Mighty performance, very comfortable (but I was only in it for an hour) the only downside at the moment is the space inside not sure how they will feel about me filling the boot with dogs maybe we will get an extended test and try it out??

One where I work. Interesting and looks great but there is a lot of competition at that market point.

It's got good reviews here, looks to be aimed at X3/ Q5 market. Does state that the boot is the same size as the
X5 though.

The sales guy also told me the boot area is the same as the X, just didn't look it to me or my wife. In terms of litres of space it maybe is as big, it's whether it's usable that counts. The cars with the biggest boot I have owned were the W210 AMG estates in the late 90's much bigger than the Volvo's or the RR and X yet the car was roughly the same length.
Here's the team in the X ready for a days shooting 2 gun cases under the floor cartridges in the right hand cubby and 5 dogs can travel in the back. That raises another thought I haven't checked out the cubby space yet the X scores really well in that department.
Time to bring one home and see what fits where.

You need to link from an external store and add the link to it into your post using the IMG code.

I can post photos on here, on the normal app no tapatalk ( on my IPad ) I go to the posting screen, down bellow the text box and click on image tab. Then access the photo from my photo library, then. Lick add to post. Hey presto.
Not sure if it works on a PC or Android

I haven't had issues uploading before either but sure didn't work yesterday, tried uploading to tiny no go. Tried the image tab and I can see the images and it says "success" but nothing in the post.

Tried again dogs in the car and waiting for some action in the field.

Thanks, started training my first Gundog in 58 we got our first Weimaraner in 74 and have grown our own ever since the Black Pointer is my re-home project. So you could say I have had a little practice.

Well I think they have missed something here? They gave me the F Pace with the small engine to try for a couple of days still impressed with it, the disappointment for us is the boot space. The sales stuff says 650 ltrs which should be the same as the X5, However the roof line is lower and with the dogs in there it was really cramped for them. Also there is little space under the floor for the stuff which when I do carry it is better out of sight.
We will have a long think about this one.

Hi
I have only seen one from a side view recently, but yes a sloping rear roofline,
I think it's poss nearer same size as the new X3 rather than the latest X5 size I would have said

Went to Jag last week to drive the F-Pace. First thing my wife did was lift the boot floor - the handle broke off!...
Then we opened the doors and a running board (thankfully an option) came out from the side of the car, preventing easy access, and would surely do your shins in...often...
Drove the test vehicle out on to a dual carriageway and immediately I felt it was a huge barge of a thing. Drove it to a roundabout and straight back into the dealership. I guess if you're used to X5, Q7 etc it'd be fine, but why were all the customers in their 70's???
No. Not for us. Not quite yet. Still... room for a Zimmer in the rear!
