Hi

Wanted to post a X6 F16 thing, but there doesn't seem to be a forum for it. :blink:

Anyway...
I've ordered my X6 M50d from Cooper BMW (29th June). The dealer says it will ship from the US, and says the estimated delivery date is beginning of Sept.
I've emailed the dealer today, and they said that they still don't have a production number/VIN etc for it yet. My question is should I trust the estimated delivery date, or should I expect it to be much later? I've seen on car wow that they expect it to be 20 weeks minimum...

What should I be expecting?

FYI The dealer put the date when we configured the car end of July so that it would get all the new config, as previously when I ordered it, the BMW system wouldn't accept it (I had the MSport plus pack which was deprecated). So now this has the wireless charging option (6NW)

Hi,

The date will depend upon demand and parts availability to natch your options.  The delivery sounds about right.  The VIN won't appear until production slot is allocated and that is often just before they build it.

Allow two weeks of shipping (they all come from the US) to Bremerhaven (customs and clearance), then to UK, up to Thorne in Yorks to the Vehicle Prep Centre and then to your dealer.  About 3 weeks in all from production.  Mine was an August order and end October delivery.

I didn't know they shipped to Germany first, then the UK... good to know.

AW8, can you sort new X1 (F48) also plz. I have one now and sure they going to be popular and would love to carry on hearing other folks views, faults, tips....... and post myself, cheers
