Anyone any experience with this model, it's an estate if that makes any difference.

Not really but I guess and autotrader or parkers would confirm it probably has the 4.4 v8 like the X5 and an auto box.
If looking to purchase just make sure you check all the electric several times as if it's like the x5 it will be expensive to put right.
Might be worth checking bimmerapp and e60 forums appears worth checking gearbox as a weak point also BMW car club for poss info
