Had my quote from my insurance co for the next 12 months and they had increased the premium to £389.98 from £353.
So i went to ''Go Compare'' and the cheapest quote was £215 Nearly £175 cheaper !!!!!!
Then rang my insurance co. and they said we can do a price match !!, we'll just check the quote from ''Go compare'' and get back to you.
Half an hour later, got phone call : Yes, we can match that so I have saved almost £175 with a phone call.
Only thing is why do they do this, I suppose many clients can't be bothered to query the price.
I will tell any body the company involved by PM.

Re: Insurance
Hi Lez
I know what you mean and this year the same with wires car atswinton £390 renewal and then Sainburys was £267 but Swindon couldn't marptch so swooped over and saved £123.
My friend had the same and even though his original company matched the price as he said that if they don't give him the best price first why stay as they are trying to make money out of you each year and I guess he has a point.
My renewal was just a £4 different so no need to swop this year, but it does seem to pay by shopping around and checking on the price.
Glad you got a good deal in the end.

Re: Insurance
Insurance (or any other) company is there to make money/profit. Always check/ double check any "auto renewals".
