Someone asked me yesterday if the ride height can be set to a different height than where it usually is i.e. middle/medium.
So if i were to set it to the lowest height, turned the car off, would it be at that lowest height when i return a day or so later? If not, is there a way to set the default height to the lowest?

the air suspension uses level sensors to determine the set ride height. if the level sensors were adjusted in position slightly then the ride height could be altered. but i have never really had a close look at the level sensors to be sure if it is possible.
also i dont know if yours has air bags all round or just on the rear as mine. if like mine you could only adjust the rear height anyway.

Ride height is only adjustable if you have front and rear air suspension.

Otherwise its self levelling rear air suspension only, which is governed by sensors.

The ride height can be adjusted, and in fact has to be, in order to account for how the suspension components settle. Its done through diagnostics such as INPA

As above you can set the height using the relevant software and the other way with full front/rear air suspension is using adjustable link rods to alter the level sensor position.

Hi, I'm a newbie here and my air suspension is currently inactive, but got me thinking, how do I know if I have all round air suspension or just at the rear, I'm driving a 53 place 3.0d Sport?

I believe it was only an option on the V8s at that time...

Easiest way is to look at the front struts behind the wheel.

If there are normal springs there then you haven't got all round air suspension

The 3.0d Sport had rear air as standard (AFAIK).
Again look behind the rear wheel and you will see the air springs / Bags connected to the lower wishbone.
