New to the forum x5 2006 self level night mare
Looking for advise had the self level fault now and again now it's on all the time and it has dropped on height at rear on both sides but both at same height of that makes sense what could be cause compressor or sensors can't hear compressor kicking in have checked fuses and modules it's driving me crazy any help would be much appreciated a have just got the e53 and love It but this warning could be death off me even thought about converting the rear already !!

Mine was just a rusty little metal bit and sensor that tells the car how high it is, so it knows how much it needs to pump. It was only about £25 at the stealer. No worries since. Have a peek under there and see if yours is rusty and bent too.

Would point to the compressor if completely bottomed out and you can't hear it kicking in.
