ok i have sat nav (dvd) single cd/what ever about the sat / nav and in glove box 6 disk cd auto changer but in my cd menu in idive its has a dvd opption what does this do and where do they play from and what format does it use please as i cant seem to play any dvds in the car.

I guess that DVD drive installed is only work for CDs and Sat Nav DVD!

You most likely have a single CD slot for music. A DVD slot for the sat nav DVD and then 6 slot autoloader in the glovebox.
On my 530d....
I had the 6 CD autoloader removed and instead had an ipod cable coded. Then i bought an old ipod touch 32gb and left it permanently in the glove box with my music library (controlled by iDrive and steering wheel controls) best £400 i ever spent on her.
