The PDC has stopped working... completely... I get no sounds (from front or back) when engaging reverse, or when approaching an obstacle in front of either bumper. 

The green light on the dash button lights up but thats about all that happens, so I'm thinking the PDC module.

Can anyone confirm if the module in the boot runs BOTH sets of sensors or is there a module for front and back.

Is it possible to test the module (I have access to a basic multi meter) before I pull the look into a replacement?

Finally any idea of the cost from BMW, its a toss up on costs, but I reckon I could buy an ebay one that goes pop a week after turning up...

most probably at least one pdc faulty... not the module. is the pdc light flashing when it's on?

switch the pdc on and put your ear to each pdc in turn, you should hear a ticking sound if it's working.

alternatively if you have a scanner it will tell you which pdc is faulty.

Thanks, Ive got a scanner but didn't think it reported PDC's .  The green light is solid, no flashing, whats does that mean?  Is it good or bad?

I also read on xoutpost that the speakers can go, but both going at the same time seems a bit of a coincidence?  But it has been stood for a while, perhaps corrosion on a contact somewhere?

If you have a scanner u can read the errors in the pdc module?
