changing wheels - wheel bolts torqued +++ - stripped locking key, rest removed with scaffolding pole!. I put them on in November - torque to 140nm - never torque locking bolts - just gently tighten. 20000 mile service in January, does this include wheel bolt torque check??. Dealer states it doesn't touch wheel bolts unless removing wheels, is this true please
cheers

Checking wheel bolt torque at service
Re: Checking wheel bolt torque at service
Normally yes. Wheels are not removed as part of a routine service. Mine only come off when the Dealer swaps the winter/summer sets over. 'Technicians' can see quite well being these huge wheels without always having to remove them.
I have never had a 'bolt torque check' done by anyone, and I always check the bolt torque myself after anyone has been near them. I (like many others) have suffered over tightened bolts in the past.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
