Anyone had any experience with one of these?
In particular the 1.2 Urban model?
I'm thinking of one as a runabout that I can then add my son on the insurance when he starts driving in August.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Not the best looking car, preferred the Lupo. Ive never driven one, but presumably its cheap motoring without too much practicality. Saw a lovely Lupo GTi the other day would rather that IMO. Or if you can stretch the budget to the much better Up / Citigo / Mii

Thanks for the replies.
They seem a cheap but fairly well built little car. They have a fair amount of room in them too as the rear bench moves to either create more legroom or boot space, depending on your need.
I like the Lupo but many seem a little long in the tooth now and I'm sure, as much as the GTi appeals, the insurance will be a snag.
I'll keep you posted.

Skoda Fabia? Built out of the VAG parts bin. Skoda build VW engines for most VAG models now. Reliable, cheap to run, loads of kit standard.

My oldest neice has a vw fox (bright red) and she loves it. Fairly basic but functional little car. I drove it from London to B'ham once and it was a hoot. Takes forever to reach 70-80 mph mind

Just a thought if you're after a cheap runaround where 3 doors isnt an issue, try the Mitsubishi Colt Mirage. I had one in 2008 for a year and it was great. Very peppy little 3 cylinder putting out around 79bhp/ton but it feels a lot quicker. Cheap to buy, cheap to run and they are well built and have Japanese reliability. They also do 5 door versions. I had the 1.1 3dr Mirage (best looking but only came in 3dr)

Thanks for the replies chaps.
I ended up looking at 4 of them (would have been 5 if they guy hadn't sold it before I got there - it would also have been nice if he'd told me before I turned up, but that is another story!).
Ended up with a silver one, 08 plate with 60k. A tidy little car all round and good complement to the X I m hoping.
Picking it up on Friday - pics to follow.
