Service costs

Anyone had their first service on an F15 yet? I am curious to see how much it was? We have just bought a new F16 X6 40d m sport & I am weighing up weather to buy the service pack or not. Whats everyone's thoughts on them? I have had them on my last 4 cars & ended up changing around a year old, we both really like the X6 & believe it or not it does drive a bit different to my last 2 F15 X5's so at the moment we would probably be keeping it for around 3 years but we only do around 8k miles per year.

Thanks in advance for feedback.

Cant answer your question as my F26 is due its first service in approx 9k miles but luckily the original owner spec'd the 5 year service pack..

I bought the service pack on my previous F25 but was annoyed to find the first service was due in 17k miles.
Due to illness it only had one service in the 3yrs I had it.
The garage do say they factor in the service pack into the resale price?
My new F25 says 19k to the next service.
The garage did say the service costs £375 ish?

I thought the new system took into consideration time and miles?

Yes it does and also how it's driven.
On switch on its saying next service in 19k miles but I've only done 128 so far[emoji3].
My last one initially said 17k but actually had its first service when it was 2yrs old and done about 12k.

Ah ok, I've just ticked over 10k and my next service (first to my knowledge) is due in 9k

Mine was part of the discount. I had the first service last year and have no idea what it would have been, the brakes are due in 3000 miles, I have done 30k since Sept 14 so if you do 8k over 3 then you might get 1 service and the brakes.

I have a golf TDI and the service for that was £240 and I bought my youngest a new 1.2 Corsa and they want £600 for the Vauxhall service pack!  No thank you

If your not keeping the car or doing decent miles, I wouldn't bother.  The dealer car add a service pack on an approved car that has been serviced for very little so I doubt it would add much to your trade in.

I took out the 5 year package on mine as it's a bmw owned vehicle with 3550 miles at sale to me.  The cost was £675, and i do circa 11k miles a year. The plan is to keep this car beyond 5 years
