Drivers door mirror,parts help needed

Not a very good start to the day,parked X on side of road and on return found drivers door mirror and the gloss black surround smashed :x
I have sourced a new surround for £34,am looking on ebay for a glass replacement,they vary greatly in price and design,has anyone purchased
1 and point me in the right direction of choice

Hi Rick, sorry to hear about your mirror. I had the same problem over the weekend, some muppet in a van was too far over and took out my drivers mirror. Killed the surround and mirror cover, luckily the glass wasnt broken. ... I was surprised how much the covers are so will rebuild mine with fibreglass.

Do you know what options your car has regarding mirrors? Chromatic, heated glass etc. On my car, i think the lh glass has been replaced at some point, it has a slight curve in it compared the rh glass. It is sometimes distracting, so its worth making sure you get the right type. Hopefully someone can advise.

Not sure of options,glass is heated though and has a blue tint

Electrochrome dims like auto dimming. I've got electrochrome but they don't appear to have a blue tint. You'll know if you had em or not it's that noticeable.

£70 for standard glass,£210 for electrochrome :o
Theres a cheap replacement on ebay £9 that will have to do for now
