EGR Valve Problem

I recently had the EGR valve replaced as my 2014 40d kept clonking out, it just kept losing power and going into limp mode.  To be fair BMW came out within 2 hours and replaced the valve no problems.  However, and this might be me just imaging this, but since the EGR valve was replaced the feels like there is a lag when I pull away at low speeds.  It accelerate and there is a slight pause before the car pulls away.  Has anyone noticed the same ? It also recently had a service and had some massive software updates that took about six hours to download. That was a pain too as it messed up my settings.
