Throttle Pedal Reset Procedure

My D Sport has learned how I drive & a bit at a time has softened the throttle pedal response...
So...
Can anyone remind me what the Throttle Pedal Reset sequence is please ??

Usually disconnecting the battery for 30 mins fixes these memory issues. I've not been a X driver for long, so there might be another method I'm not aware of.

Ignition on, don't start the car, fully depress the accelerator for 30 secs, release pedal and switch off. Restart the car and the adaptions will clear.

Interesting. So is this something that should be done on a regular basis? To the original poster, surely we do want to take advantage of the software learning how we do drive? I'm not really getting the point of clearing the adaptations?

In this case, my X5 has learned that I feather the gas pedal gently.. over thousands of miles on motorways & adapted a softer pedal response around the cruising pedal pressure point travel distance.
A resulting effect is to dilute the effect of the 1st inch of pedal movement, which gives unpredictable pull aways from stand still, where by sod-all happens for the 1st 3rd of pedal movement, then the bloody car takes off like a rocket & strains the crap out of everything.
The weather is getting slippery now, & I want absolute progressive control of throttle response & not suddenly ending up doing a broadside around a junction, just because the pedal is pushed 2mm more...
Hence pedal reset to progressive linear response.

Fair enough, makes sense

Will this reset procedure work on a F15?

Many thanks Richard for the trottle reset procedure...
i hooked the car up to my scanner & the throttle curve was interesting...
the vehicle learns..and it is got my throttle to only activate 10 fueling over the 1st 40% pedal movement.. then the graph tapered up & ended with the tota maxl pedal travel only giving 75% of available power...
reset the pedal... now got a crisp response again...
the gauge that shows MPG under the rev counter, had never gone below 15mpg....
now I can sink the pedal & the dial swings to zero.... meaning Im getting ALL available diesel & power...
The fuelling graph is now a simple 45 degree climb of pedal & fuelling.... untill it learns again in a few weeks...
its nice to get the "grunt" back from my D-Sport again.

It won't hurt anything to try it.

I guess you've got the hang of INPA then

When you say fully depress the accelerator pedal, do you mean to the extent that the kick down switch operates?

Re fully depress accellerator pedal...
NO... not incl the kickdown.
I avoid using the kickdown, as the engine hangs on to the gear too long and is reluctant to change up...
i get a harder accelleration by letting the engine change up earlier, as theres so much more torque & pull below 3,000 rpm.
my set up gives maximum pull at 2,600rpm, and allowing the box to change up well before 3,500rpm ... and then planting more gas pedal while not going down a gear gives a significantly harder accelleration.

Thanks for reminding me of this!
I did it ages ago, but had forgotten about it and how good it works...I must drive like a grandpa normally.
