Anyone know if it's possible to get fixed speed camera locations displayed on the Pro Nav system?

Not so far.  The only ones I have ever known of are the old CD, DVD type map disks and not OEM either.  No one has cracked the database so far.  Been this way since the hard drive based systems came out in 2009.  It could be to do with an embedded licence key being unique to, and required by, every vehicle but I'm not a developer so it's only a theory.

Ta. It's a bit sad that my £300 TomTom can do this very easily, and the £2k BMW system can't.

Absolutely......one of the reasons I use one too.  That and it uses DAB based traffic rather than the slow FM TMC system!

On the X4 theyve removed it and added a £250 option for speed limit display which is rarely spec'd unfortunately.. >:(

As it's £16 a year from Garmin I'm not surprised!  Such things are of course illegal in certain EU countries which I guess with a pan-European map on board could be an issue so may be why it isn't generally offered by any manufacturers?

I have a new Smart (which is absolutely excellent) that has a Sat nav,  that rings up all speed cameras, speed limits, average speed monitoring, change of limit and when the car is breaking the speed limit, all of which can se switched of for use in France etc.  Smart cost 1/4 of what the X5 cost.  It's a pity BMW don't look over their shoulder to see what the others are doing. ::) ::)
