running board question

So I'm going to remove the rubbers on the running board to give it a proper and thorough clean. My question is, when the rubber grommets are removed and the holes are exposed - if liquid gets in there, are there drain holes somewhere within the sills. And if so where are they so I can check they aren't blocked?

There is a post about this a couple of months ago...
The sills under the ally running boards are decorative PLASTIC, and vent out each end into the wheel well.
The chap that wrote it up also pinged off the plastic strip along side the body, and rubbed down the Ally with a sanding block & it came up like new by all accounts, with the sanding grain running front to rear...

Ensure you apply LOTS of layers of masking tape where ever you do not want scratch damage..

Mine are all road-tar marked, dull too & look bloody awful, so this will be a little Sunday afternoon summer job me thinks.

Enjoy

Yes I've done it a couple of times before but just curios as to whether or not there were drain holes.

thanks
