reverse gear front wheels feel like there dragging

hi can anyone help ,i have a 2012 x5 X drive E70 86K on the clock ,when i put my car in reverse and start turning the wheel (left or Right) the front tyres start to judder as though they are being dragged as i reverse ,when i put the car in drive there doesn't seem to be a problem
i have checked both the tyre pressures and the tread and they seem fine,anyone have any ideas?

anyway ,car went back to the stealership this week ,only to find that under the warranty they've changed my transfer box as my car had dif rewind ,this could have been addressed a long time ago as when i first purchased my car it told them of a noise coming from the passenger footwell ,this was in fact the transfer box breaking up,it has just cost the 3k to sort this,one thing did concern me is this ,i told the stealership when i first picked my car up that there was a noise ,i took there mechanic out in the car and he stated the he couldn't here any noise ,whereas i could,at christmas time the car started juddering whilst reversing ,took it in and took a different mechanic out for a drive ,he knew what the issues within seconds and said this only happens on X3s i asked what does ,he stated dif rewind ,its where(under warranty) if you haven't got star rated tyres and this happens ,your warranty is void,anyway he explained this whilst we was driving back to the garage ,once i stopped my car he jumped out like a rat up a drain pipe to check my tyres ,when he found they were star rated his face was a picture ,he then said if id have changed my tyres to non star rated they wouldn't pay for the transfer box change.my lesson learnt was when i bought the car they knew there was a issue and so did i , they  took the gamble not to sort the car ,luckily it failed pre warranty expiry date otherwise i could have been 3k plus out of pocket ,if it had failed after this april

my ml63 was doing exactly this, and needed discs and pads for £1900 so i px'd for the x5 i just sold, glad i did i think looking at the cost!

My car is in at the dealer with a very similar problem, they blamed the 19" winter tyres, so I took the summer 20" m sport wheels in (with bridgestone rf's) and it's still the same, now they are saying its normal.. oct2011 car..
All the computer diags come out clean, but the noise and vibrations are there (especially noticeable with winters).

It won't record anything on diagnosistics.  Needs 'proper' mechanics, not computer technicians to work on it.  And it definitely is NOT normal.  None of mine have ever done it - winter or summer tyres.  They're talking cr@p!
