Hi
My first post. Just bought a 2011 x3 30d. Cannot pair my phones, one is on the list, one isn't. Tried various PKs, the manual seems to indicate you can use anything you choose. Can't see a specific PK on the module label in the back either.
I have deleted the previous owner's phone in case that was the problem, but still no go.
Checked and found there was a software update. Downloaded, copied to a usb stick, inserted in the usb socket in the centre armrest as the book says. Go through the settings etc, it says there is no usb device. Then tried inserting before switching on, but still doesn't see it.
Any suggestions please?

Have now managed to pair the phones. The engine had to be running, not just the ignition switched on as the book says.
Doesn't work though for the update.

Finally managed to update by downloading all 4 update files appropriate to the age of the vehicle, went into cd settings to ensure usb was active, back to update witht he engine running, and it worked.
