Still have three problems that I need help with

Post by steve1986 » Wed Dec 30, 2015 1:27 am

Hi guys hope you are all well.

My pano roof rattles when closed like it needs tightening if I thump the glass in the front section you can feel it jumping and it makes the noise. Noise clears when set to open or vent. Roof works fine

Lcd screen / Nav display cuts out intermittently. Sometimes stays out for ages / flickers like it's trying to work with squiggly lines for a split second or .... is fine for weeks with no problem . When it usually comes back on again from an outage the television option is sometimes missing or greyed out from the menu also the tv has been intermittent causing strange graphics and interference lines so I suspect this module is at fault but sometimes is fine for long periods . All radio and sounds from sat nav work fine even when lcd display is blank. Display under instrument dials still works fine when fault occurs.

The DSP sounds awful. Even though it has twin DSP subs in the boot like my old a6 avant that had single Bose sub it's terrible. Everything distorts at higher or what i would call  marginally high base levels. No base at all really and o/s/r speaker intermittent. My friends non DSP e53 was better I'm sure.

If anyone can help me with these or reccomend someone who can I would appreciate this greatly. Really just want to book it in and get it all done and dusted.

Many thanks

Steve

Sounds like a suspect amp.  Search for Baris on the forum.

The display could be bad wiring.  Might be worth a look down by the battery and check for damp.  A lot of audio modules in that area so damp will be a problem.....and is a known issue if roof seals or light seals are bad.

:ant: Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
