Hi there,

It's great to join a group based on such an awesome car! Only had it for a couple of days but it is already impressing me very much in its ability. I need to post on a technical thread as for some reason the overhead  rear TV screen keeps saying it is switching off for my safety! Other than that-brilliant.

Hi and welcome to the forum and glad you are enjoying your new car.

You can search the forum for that issue, but if its a roof mounted TV screen it sounds like it could be one that is fitted by a previous owner and will probably be linked into the head unit.

TVs on the head units are not supposed to work when driving, so as not to distract the driver, some people have overridden this and I think you can get boxes off flee bay to do this, but it's your choice.

If it has a dvd slot in the head unit then try that instead as it should work when the car is in motion

Hope that helps

Hi and welcome.  Glad you're having a ball with your new ride.  The TV issue will be frustrating as the main reason for it is to keep the kids entertained while the car is in motion but hopefully someone with the right skills will find a fix for you.

Feel free to upload some pictures, stangley we never seem to tire of seeing each other's ride.

Don

DVD most likely won't play in motion either if that 'lock' is in place.  Prohibited under UK law if in view of the driver.

As above, look for 'TV in Motion' as it sounds like when it was installed only part of the job was done and the TV video is being sourced from the car receiver.  It's a simple job to do though - or so I am led to believe.  There are a few threads on here about it.
