thanks, no there were inquiries here too but didn't materialise..
used to love the A5, but the interior is still the old design and is dated. A6/7 have moved on and looks much better inside. the exterior design is also dated..
used to hate the hunched back of the A7 but somehow that's grown on me

Yeh I know
On the subject of affordability, gonna go PCP for the first time. Can't do cash cos I've made an investment elsewhere and am penniless :'(.

Hi
If going the PCP route if you are looking at a 3yr old car say it may be worth looking at considering a new one as the car companies do better interest rates on newer cars from my recent experience of looking at X5 and range rovers.
It's probably because on a new car the residual when traded back is higher also you get to pick the what you want is a plus it really depend on what budget you can afford, as I got offered a 28K X5 for £1000 down and rest on Pcp at under £500 a month and then the balloon and by boring more the rate came down.
Also if buying near the end of month or end of quarter and especially this time of year salesmen are looking to hit their targets
Remember there are internet companies with about15-20% off that do Pcp I was told about them and found new car discount.com and a mate used a similar company and it was simplicity once he decided what car and the new car was delivered to his door
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress
Graeme

I went new on PCP as the used rate was about 14% and new only 2%.
Due to my commute of around 60 miles a day I plan to hand the car back in 40 months time and start again. Expensive possibly, but without cash being available due to other commitments I thought it was my best option.

tbh I haven't looked at new deep enough so thanks for that info guys. Said that, PCP works on the principle of recovering the depreciation with interest. So TCO wise That might be worse off?
Damn I was gonna look at 2 cars today and tomorrow and decide!
