Just swapped my H8 yellow glow bulbs for a pair of Afterpartz Angel Eyes Cree 2*80W 6000K bulbs. They were £45 from amazon so not a massive investment compared to others, or the Halo replacement / retrofit from LCI cars.

Took a picture in gloomy daylight - but difficult to capture the look as the camera displays the flicker from the bulbs. Inner rings look fine, outer not so much - need to wait for darkness to see if it was worth the money.
Installation was a cinch - 5 minute job even with sausage fingers.

Overall looks better than yellow but not quite bright enough to be totally satisfied.

H8 Halo bulb - LED Replacement
Re: H8 Halo bulb - LED Replacement
Certainly better than yellow but as many others have found, nothing comes close to OEM brightness unfortunately.
Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Nope tis true. I'll settle for the 45 quid option... for now...
Need to eliminate the rattle coming from the tailgate next... time to tweak me bumpstops...

Looks good m8 , however the outer ring looks unlit , i might go all out and buy the luxs as apparently there the closest to oem look ,

I fitted the 80w LEDs to my 3er, same effect, very good inner rings, but the outers are not as bright. As X5 sport says you will never achieve the LCI look.
There is one light source that is fed through a light tube that carries light into the next/ outer light ring. I don't think a different light source, ie different make of bulb will make both rings as bright as each other.
Plus your driving the car when they are on so you can't see them anyway

Indeed, agree. outer rings dimness fail - but not a lot that can be done other than expensivo ring replacement.
