Bumper Grill/Grid

Post by Pete » Mon Jan 24, 2011 4:08 pm

It seems like the only source to get the titanium plastic from is the dealers and for £98.00 I think it's a lot of money for brittle plastic which will only break again. I was wondering if anyone has actually replaced the front bumper plastic grid with a metal mesh?

Is that price each, or for a set? i hope it's per set

I had wondered if it might be cheaper to buy the black ones and then spray them the correct type of paint with an appropriate colour. No idea how good an option this is.

I have thought about metal replacements but have not yet found a source of a possible option to use. I do think the plastic ones are rubbish though given how easily a hole can be punched through them by road debris.

Luckily it's for the set! Still hell of a lot though. I can't find any custom fit mesh for the X5 anywhere either but if I do I'll let you know.
