Hi All,

As some will have seen my X3 2.0D was stolen from my drive last week. I went to view an '07 X3 3.0SD.
It looks and sounds amazing.
It was a 1 owner car with 52k miles. Full history and has satnav, bluetooth etc

How is this engine?
Does it suit the E83?
How are the automatic gearboxes? (I believe it is a 6 speed auto)
Any problems apart from star tyres which it has?

Thanks

I drove an X3 with that engine once.......and it was seriously quick!  That version of the 6-sp box is the 2nd generation and is supposed to be much more reliable than the version found in the E53.

Really sorry about the stolen one.  I put CCTV in after we had the front bumper nicked off our E46 very early one morning.  Stolen to order and removed by experts which meant we were almost certainly followed home (that was the scariest part)as we live in a cul-de-sac so the car is invisible from the main road.  Car was less than 6' from the front door and we never heard a thing.  All that was found was the front plate.

Lets face it, replacing the gearbox with toffee would be more reliable than the ones fitted to the E53...

Like mine you cannot find my house by accident.

I have done a quick sketch in the other thread showing how difficult it is to find my house.
