Changing the wiper blades

So my car is 2 years old now and in for its first service - oil change and microfilters only (time dependent) as the mileage counter says another 7000 miles before it needs a service.

The service stuff is under the all inclusive plan thrown in at purchase, but I have also asked them to replace the wiper blades as they were squeaking on the screen. £70!

Just as well I took 3 bottles of water, some candy bars and a lift to the train station when i dropped it off this morning. Will need to help myself to more "freebies" when i collect. Do you think they'll help me load up the car?  O:-)

I'm guessing they pay the wholesaler a tenner for the blades, the rest is profit, labour and "added value" in that order.

Perhaps I should be congratulating them on their pricing - although they are taking the p1ss theyve sussed out their customer who is grudgingly willing to pay it to avoid the hassle of doing it himself.

Now, I just need another 47 bottles of water....
