My X5 has the traditional " Wooden interior trim " which is not to everyone's tastes.

So I had these done by a mate :

Look good - what's the cost for this? Got any details for the guy you used you wouldn't mind posting up?

Hi Sanj..

It was not cheap dude. I asked to supply parts as I didn't want to be without trims for 3 -4 weeks. and then get my guy to carbon dip them.

Cost Approx £450-£550 for the E53 kit. Is 14 pieces in total. ( 1 missing in the picture )

If you send your own trims to the guy it can work out cheaper about £350 approx.

Am helping my mate out and getting him as much work as possible and everyone's happy  ;)

I carbon wrapped mine, cost about £45 in materials to do the lot as per the pics in the above posting.
I guess the Hydro-Wrap is a faster process, but the advantage of the plastic carbon is that it is easilly re-done if you scratch a part...& the plastic seems very resistant to damage.

The annoying thing I found with my lively wooden knterior trim was that it was terrible for reflectig the suns glare... from the dash strip and door handles too... really annoying... the plastic caebon wrap is none reflective & easier on the eye...

However, our friends above does look pretty good & very professionally done.

It's a great process and you can pretty much do any pattern you want. Just a bit pricey atm...

When you get a chance Sunny bung some pics of the finished interior in place please. Shiny CF finish could be a nice contrast. Plus are you happy with it, now?

Wheels is also possible if he has a big enough tray.
