Southern softies

Always wondered what it meant, but now I know: cow pads ....
Just been for a weeks holiday in Yorkshire so got back with the car having a healthy dose of cow dung on it. Trying to wash it off .... What are they feeding those animals on???! Bricks?
At least I know now that the southern cows produce nice soft pads which at least is easy to get off
