N/S/R indicator not working

Morning all. My car has recently developed a problem whereby the nsr indicator isn't working, as per rapid click/flash while indicating. I initially thought it was a bulb so bought one to replace it with, this never cured it and the original bulb is fine. I have switched the holder to the other side and it works there fine so rules that out. Is there any common or obvious faults I should be looking for, I'm about to remove the cluster and see if it's broken anywhere though I doubt that to be the case. Any help greatly appreciated.

Often there is corrosion on the contacts. Clean those off first and see if that makes the contact again.

The rear clusters do go faulty - poor contacts generally at fault with corrosion. i have had one cluster replaced under warranty and the other side is playing up so likely changed soon as well.  Hopefully its just a case of cleaning the contacts.

Agree with pvr and Consor.....

Can be improved without cluster removal but better access by removal (sockets required & be careful not to lose bolts into recesses). Sandpaper, wire brush or other abrasive will sort issues hopefully.

Not a fault you must understand - one of a number of small characteristics

Thanks for that guys, it was that afterallafter all. Quick clean and a rub with some sand paper and it's all working again.
