As above really.  I'm seeing a 4.8i tomorrow apparently with adaptive xenons (move with the steering).  Are there any ques inside the car to help me confirm?

Thanks in advance

Take your iPad and check the VIN code out on the V5. You can then download the build sheet off the real OEM and see what was fitted at the factory.
I recently bought a 3 series E93' and when I checked out the build sheet found it had more extras than advertised.
Good luck with the search

If memory serves is should say something like 'BMW Adaptive' on the projector light unit within the headlight.  I would expect a 4.8 to have it by default as it was the top trim.

Thanks guys, they do indeed have 'BMW Adaptive' printed on the light unit themselves.

Bought the car, few nice toys on it [emoji106]

I thought if its a 4.8 iS with adaptive headlights, the light switch will have a setting to the left of O ( off ) which is a headlight symbol with a capital A .

I may be wrong, its been a while since I have seen an E53, but for sure the E70 has the headlight with capital A symbol to the left of the off position.

Nat.

Anybody else annoyed with the placement of the green led showing the lights are on automatically? I cant see it without taking my right hand off the wheel.

Oftern people ahead of me think I am flashing them as the lights go on and off under shady tree avenues etc...

Same here....stupid place to put it!

I had the sensitivity setting changed to less sensitive by my Dealer.  Stops them coming on under trees, or a clear blue sky (the car reads it as a uniform grey = cloud in BMW language).

I think the 'A' you refer to is for auto lights.  Adaptive xenon is a separate option.

Mmmmmm....well in that case I don't know.

I have both as I can clearly see my lights moving when you turn the wheel at night. I was under the impression that the A setting did both.

You are making me look now........!
