New to BMW - need some help with my order!

Hi,
New to this forum and BMW so please be gentle...
I have ordered a new X5M sport 40d, its in the country (already built) but is there an easy way to know if its a my15 or my16 build? (I haven't seen it)
In fact, is there any difference between the two?
What I am trying to find out is weather the auto tailgate has a close and lock switch as well as just a close switch, like I had on my Merc.
I have seen one on the internet with the two switches, but the one in the showroom (not my one) has just the one.
Anyone have any ideas please?
Cheers,
Mark

Model year chengeover is usually in late July.  If yours has only just got here then it may well be an FY16.  But will go on adding bits and functions throughout each Model year regardless, it often just depends upon the date the car goes down the line.

Hmm, going to ask the dealer tomorrow. Problem is, they seem to know bout as much as me! Its not at the dealers yet, all they say is that its in the country.

Probably at the Vehicle Preparation Centre at Thorne.  They all end up there before going to the dealers.

The final country specific bits are added, and any transport damage fixed there.

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing that the boot lock button comes with comfort access
