Purchasing an AUC X5

Hi

I've found an AUC I'm interested in. Only problem is the dealership is a 300 mile round trip from where I live. So, before I hit the road, has anyone seen this car in the flesh?

Or have any experience of Stephen James Ruxley of Sidcup?

The reason I ask is that this car has been on there for a good couple of months and that seems like a long time for a 40d. Makes me worry there's something wrong and I'd rather save the diesel and wear and tear of a wasted trip.

Many thanks in advance!

Spec looks alright....but the mpg figure is 'optimistic' at best.  Look at 30mpg as being nearer reality.

May be no more than a colour that isn't as popular.  Black/Grey/White seems to be 'in'.  But then what do I know...mine's 'Man Pink'.  :))

Hmmm. That's interesting about the MPG. I'm torn between the X5 (more fun when on my own) and a Discovery 4 (more space for a family of 4) and the economy/running cost was edging the X5 ahead. I think it'll end up as a head over heart decision though, if I find the right example of either.

I don't mind the colour. Figured I'll be inside it so it doesn't really matter! :)

BMW reliability and dealers are far better than Land Rover in my experience.

My brother runs LR Disco and Rangie. Nothing but big BIG bills and heartache.....

Its why I chose BMW over LR this time.
