2004 Leather Seat Swap-Over

Post by X5-D-Sport » Tue Aug 25, 2015 11:56 am

Hi People...
I want to swap the driver & passenger seats..

Wondering if the seat base & back will detach from the base  mechanics, so I can put the firmer passenger seat in the drivers position..

Any one done this ..... or possibly able to access the drawing assembly schematics for these seats...
And if itsnpossible, when done, I will write up a report & pics of the job, as Im sure a lot more driver seats are out there that have sagged a bit...
Regards to all.

Can be done. 1.5-2h job. 2 T25's holds the back, disconnect wires and pull it up;  4 T20 + 2 T25's holds the seats. Search youtube how to remove seat modules. There is only one issue: passenger side occupancy sensor...Airbag light on dashboard...You cant swap seat matt so just swap connector with wires and buy seat
sensor bypass.. (ebay: £8).  :)
