Im sure your well aware that your not supposed to remove the DPF as its a mot fail...

I had contemplated getting mine cleaned by this lot,,,

As ive been having some issues with mine.
But,,, fingers crossed it seems to be behaving itself lately...

Ide be interested in your progress though...

Hmmm I wouldn't like to have it removed however there seems to be quite a few people have them removed and remapping ecu.

My findings are that a removed dpf will cause smoke hence mot failure however if the car is remapped for correct emissions it would pass emissions and smoke tests for mot

Does anyone know how much the dealers charge for a forced regen ?

An indie that i took my car too charged me £70 for the forced regen, but that didnt fix the underlying problem....
No idea what the Main dealers would fleece you for....Probably a new DPF...???!!!!

There was a lot of debate over the DPF delete on BMWLand [in the e60/61 section],but thats unfortunately gone...

Oh and a mate of mine who has a Audi A4, removed the innards of his dpf and had it remapped. BUT im told it now has a lot more diesel smell [Exhaust im guessing]... His wife is not happy with the extra " aroma"...
