I also took it to a indy who took it on the motorway to do a regen which my car did ok they also did check for faults and found no error codes both bmw & the indy tried to reset this dpf service light and failed to do it. The car it self drives great .Is there any one out there with this fault any ideas to solve this

There is a pressure sensor fitted into the DPF, it reads the upstream pressure before the DPF, if the pressure increases due to a restriction in the filter, as it can't pass enough exhaust gas quick enough it triggers the warning light. If the adapaf has regenerated properly and you still are getting the light on, maybe it's reading Incorrectly.
INPA should show the readings obtained. Common problem on Some VAG cars so it's possible on Beemers.
If it drives ok and they say its regens get, and the light is still on, maybe worth trying .
